I have always been curious about what makes people tick and love helping people. Psychology seemed like a great way to learn more about people and help them at the same time.
My interest in customer service and management started at a young age. I started working at McDonald’s at 14 years old and was promoted to manager at 17. I enjoyed learning and developing my skills across all aspects of the business and particularly loved training team members to deliver exceptional service to customers.
After graduating university, I spent many years working in the health department in both hospital and outpatient clinics. I really enjoyed the clinical work but became increasingly frustrated with the inefficiencies and red tape of the government sector. I really enjoyed helping people but found myself spending most of my week attending meetings that were not related to improving clinical services.
After having my first child, I decided that if I was going to work and spend time away from my daughter, that I wanted to use the time to make the biggest impact possible. I took the plunge and rented a room from a fellow psychologist and began my private practice journey.
I joined CM after being in business for 12 years. The practice was growing rapidly and I was struggling to manage all aspects of the business. I needed help systemising the business and building a leadership team. Having these structures in place means that I am able to pursue other passions including mentoring, training and research.
Relationships are everything
